ASTM B265 Gr1 is an industrial-grade pure titanium sheet with good ductility, making it suitable for sheet metal bending and forming. It is resistant to chloride ion corrosion, and welding requires inert gas protection.

Material shortcomings
Relatively low strength; prone to work hardening during cold working; requires strict oxidation control during welding and cutting, which increases costs; not resistant to hydrofluoric acid or concentrated hydrochloric acid.
