Checkpoint for soap box racings

This card embeeds the electronics of a check point used in the timing of soap box races. One copy of the check point is positioned on the starting line of the race, and another copy on the finish line. Each check point communicates (local WIFI + Internet) with an MQTT server running on a Raspberry PI. A Man-Machine Interface developed in LabVIEW, which also communicates with the RPi, ensures the management of competitors, the measurement of the race time between the two check points and the automatic classification of competitors... This card is based on the use of a CMS components and an ESP32–C3. A wrapping area has been added to the PCB for future expansions. The photos show the detail of the electronics of a check point integrated into a 3D printed box and the finished system with a light tower comparable to that of a traffic light.
